Fast Retailing Sustainability Targets 2030
The entire Fast Retailing Group will accelerate its transition to a new business model encompassing both sustainability and business growth. The goal is to make clothes that are better for the environment, people, and society.
The key specific targets for 2030 are as follows:
1. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% in our stores and by 30% in our supply chain (compared with 2019)
2. Achieve 100% renewable electricity use across our stores and offices.
3. Replace approximately 50% of all materials used with low-emission alternatives, such as recycled materials.
4. Establish end-to-end supply chain transparency and traceability to the raw material level to identify and address human rights, labor and environmental risks.

Climate Data and Methodology
Our greenhouse gas emissions are calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol and include emissions from our stores, offices, and supply chain. We have reduced greenhouse gas emissions from our global operations (Scope 1 and Scope 2) compared to a fiscal year 2019 baseline as part of our commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2050. We do not rely on carbon offsets to meet our emissions reduction targets and prioritize absolute emissions reductions across our operations and value chain. Detailed environmental data, methodology, and progress toward our targets are available in our Sustainability Data Book [link].
