Why was I charged an extra dollar? Why is the amount on my credit card authorization $1 higher than my order total?
When you place an order, an authorization hold is put on your credit card for the value of your order. Some credit card companies may add an additional dollar just to make sure there are sufficient funds in the account to place the order.
This process simply secures the funds but does not withdraw the funds as it will only stay as a Pending Charge until the order is shipped. UNIQLO USA can only charge for orders once they have been shipped out to you for the items that have been dispatched to you.
