WHAT DOES UPF MEAN?

It stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and is an indicator of how well the item blocks UV rays. UNIQLO's lineup also includes UPF 40 items that block 90% or more of UV rays. *Some products are not rated UPF 40.

HOW ARE UV PROTECTION PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED?

The country of origin varies depending on the product.

Please check the washing care label of the product .

Please note the following:
Even if the product number is the same, the country of origin may differ.
It is not possible to check the country of origin of products sold in the online store before ordering.

Disclaimer: We are not able to provide the information in regards to the origin of the product even if a Live Agent is contacted.

WHAT DOES UV PROTECTION MEAN?

Introduce a new fuss-free defense against UV rays to your daily routine with our wide range of clothing and accessories designed to protect your skin from sun damage.

WHAT DOES UPF RATING MEAN?

This number gives an indication of how long skin would take to burn, compared to bare skin. It is a UV protection rating for fabrics and clothing. The higher the UPF rating, the greater the UV protection and the longer it will take for UV rays to damage your skin. (Guide to UPF rating: UPD 25 means that compared to bare skin, it would take 25 times longer to be exposed to the same amount of UV rays.)

For example, UNIQLO's 100% Supima Cotton in white has a UPF of five, but when we add UV Protection technology, it has a UPF of 25.

WILL THE UV PROTECTION EFFECT BE REDUCED WHEN THE PRODUCT IS WASHED?

We confirmed that the efficacy did not diminish after 10 washes. When UV-absorbing materials are washed frequently over a period, the impact may slowly fade. The substance used to reflect UV rays in fabrics is integrated into the fibers, making the effect semi-permanent.
